Free mobile data from local libraries

Several libraries across Essex are offering free mobile data for people who are struggling to afford an internet connection.

If you're 18+ years old and struggling to afford an internet connection either at home or when you're out and about, you could be eligible for free mobile data to help you get online.

Several libraries across Essex are offering free SIM cards to residents who meet this eligibility criteria. Visit our digital inclusion map to find your closest participating library, as well as other digital support available to you.

The National Databank

You can also access free SIMs through the National Databank from the Good Things Foundation, if you're struggling to afford your phone bill. You can find a full list of locations on the Good Things Foundation's support map.

Vodafone's Charities Connected

If you're a charity you can apply to Vodafone's Charities Connected programme. Through this programme you can apply for a number of SIMs which provide free texts, minutes and data, which you can then distribute to residents as you wish.
