SuperConnected conference to offer one-stop shop on digital business

Broadband conference in Essex

Essex businesses will have a unique opportunity next month to meet key broadband network suppliers operating in the county and hear of their current and future plans, while at the same time listening to digital experts and meeting Essex companies who are making full use of broadband connectivity to drive their business success.

The SuperConnected Business conference at Chelmsford City Racecourse on Tuesday 7 June is hosted by Essex County Council’s Superfast Essex programme and has secured the backing from the programme’s key delivery partners in the fibre rollout BT and Gigaclear, as well as a number of other network operators.

The Government’s Broadband Delivery UK Chief Executive, Chris Townsend, will set the scene with an update on national broadband policy and plans, and senior representatives from each network operator will discuss the impact their technology will have on the county’s broadband coverage now and in the future, and encourage businesses to think about exploiting what is available to drive their business to success.

The event will also feature expert speakers providing tips on making fast broadband work for your business, and successful Essex businesses will be talking first-hand about how they have been able to develop and expand their business by harnessing the power of superfast broadband.

Essex County Councillor Kevin Bentley, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Economic Growth and Waste & Recycling, said: “The combined support for this event by both network operators and businesses using the technology speaks for itself. Essex is a great place to do business, and with the ongoing rollout of superfast broadband it is becoming better equipped to help the local economy to thrive. This is an event small and medium enterprises in and around Essex will not want to miss.”

In addition to the main programme, there will be the opportunity to network, view demonstrations, and interact with exhibitors in the main exhibiting area. Lunch and refreshments will be included. Parking will be available. Further information and the full event agenda are available at http://www.nextgenevents.co.uk/events/SCB

Registration for this free event is now open at http://superconnected-business-conference.eventbrite.co.uk.

The day is being organised by Essex County Council in collaboration with NextGen Events Ltd. Some sponsorship packages and speaking opportunities are still available, and businesses interested in exhibiting on the day can contact Marit Hendriks at marith@nextgenevents.co.uk.
