SuperConnected Business Conference registrations now open

Superfast broadband conference in Essex

Businesses can now sign up to attend the Superfast Essex-hosted SuperConnected Business Conference being held at Chelmsford City Racecourse on Tuesday, 7 June.

The free conference will bring together industry experts, as well as innovative and inspirational leaders from the world of business, broadband and Government to talk about the technology of today and the future, and the role of high speed connectivity in helping business growth.

The event is being arranged by the county’s broadband rollout programme, Superfast Essex, to showcase how digital connectivity can drive commercial success and to encourage businesses to take advantage of the fast broadband infrastructure now available in most areas of the county. A number of broadband network operators will also be in attendance to help businesses understand the different broadband technologies available to them.

Cllr Kevin Bentley, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Economic Growth and Waste and Recycling, said: “We want to show that Essex is a great place to do business because that’s what it is. There are great examples of businesses which are embracing the digital world to better their business. This conference will provide a platform to celebrate these successes and inspire others to want to achieve more.”

The full day conference, organised with support from NextGen Events Ltd, is for small and medium businesses based in and around Essex, as well as further afield.

There will be key speeches, as well as the opportunity to network, view demonstrations, and interact with exhibitors in the main exhibiting area.

The themes the conference will cover include:

- The UK’s position on broadband connectivity and connecting Essex to the world
- Real companies driving growth and profits online - Internet Of Things, logistics by fibre, big data
- Digital tools for business - digital marketing, accounting in the cloud, contactless technology
- Making broadband faster and getting to very remote areas - superfast and G.fast, gigabit for rural areas, WiFi, satellite and mobile

Lunch and refreshments will be included. Parking will be available. Courtesy transport to and from Chelmsford railway station will be considered if needed.

Any businesses interested in exhibiting on the day or getting involved in the event please contact Marit Hendriks at marith@nextgenevents.co.uk.
