Superfast Essex Public Consultation seeks feedback on superfast broadband availability

Residents and businesses are being encouraged to tell Essex County Council whether they can access superfast broadband at their address to help inform future broadband investment plans.

The Superfast Essex Public Consultation 2017 is being run by the Superfast Essex broadband programme until midnight on Thursday 31st August 2017 to reassess which areas will not have access to superfast broadband speeds after all existing plans are completed. The aim is to identify which areas should be eligible for future investment.

Super Sam to visit Essex Libraries this August to spread the word on superfast broadband

Essex’s broadband superhero, Super Sam is returning this year to continue to raise awareness about Essex County Council’s Superfast Essex programme which is enabling 144,000 homes and businesses to access superfast broadband across the county.

Super Sam will be visiting libraries across the county during the Summer Reading Challenge to meet even more people and tell them about the benefits of superfast broadband. Visits to Maldon, Chelmsford, Harwich and Basildon libraries have been confirmed for August, and more dates and locations are due to be added.

Super Sam spreads the word to help Essex become one of the best connected counties in the UK

Ultrafast Animals Are Leading the Way in Essex

The Animal Country Club in the rural village of Moreton, Essex, has become the 2,000th premises the county to have access to Gigaclear’s ultrafast fibre broadband service, meaning their internet speeds now run significantly faster than the excitable pups on site.
